Target Engineering Construction Company has awarded Penspen a contract for an upgrade project on an Adnoc Offshore operated facility on the UAE’s Zirku Island.
As per the terms of the deal, Penspen will replace existing slug catchers at the Zirku Satah plant, with newer models cladded with a corrosion-resistant nickel super alloy. The deal also outlines modifications to associated pipelines, instrumentation and control systems, electrical, civil and structural works.
The scope of work for the company includes a review of processes, loss prevention/technical safety, mechanical, piping, instrumentation and control, civil and structural, electrical and corrosion/materials, the statement said.
“This project continues our support for the Satah field and Zirku Island developments and will enhance our established position as a valued engineering services provider in the Middle East,” said Penspen’s executive VP (Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific) Neale Carter.
Penspen says it has been providing engineering, project management, asset management and integrity services to the oil and gas industry worldwide for 65 years.
