Bobcat loaders win awards for low ownership cost and high retained value
Company’s T590 and S70 models keep up the Bobcat winning streak in LCO and HRV Awards 2020
Bobcat’s T590 compact track loader and S70 skid-steer loader have won the 2020 Lowest Cost of Ownership (LCO) Award in their respective categories, with the S70 also winning the Highest Retained Value (HRV) Award for the year.
With the win, Bobcat retained its winning streak at what it says are the industry’s only accolade of their kind, based on empirical data regarding the long-term cost of heavy and compact equipment, organised by EquipmentWatch, a global data, software and insights provider for the equipment industry.
A statement from Bobcat said nominees are recognised within 15 different categories of machines that exhibit the lowest cost of ownership over a five-year span. The HRV Award winner represents the model, within its respective equipment type, projected to retain the highest percentage of its original value after a five-year period. Total cost of ownership is one of the most important aspects that buyers take into account when purchasing equipment.
Bobcat had also been successful at the previous edition of the awards, with its MT55 winning the LCO Award in the Loaders Compact Track category and the S70 skid-steer loader winning the Skid Steer Loaders Small category for the third year in a row. The HRV Award last year also went to MT55, which was bagged by the S70 this year.

According to Bobcat, the T590 compact track loader belongs to a range of loaders that has a proven track record of reliability and workmanship. Its compact size and manoeuvrability, as well as excellent ground hugging abilities, make it the perfect tool for performing a wide range of tasks in harsh and wet conditions. The large range of available attachments adds to the popularity and versatility of the machine.
The S70 is the smallest model in the Bobcat skid-steer loader range. With its small dimensions, it can access sites with narrow openings such as gates, alleys or aisles. The S70 is ideal for work in tight areas where larger machines cannot manoeuvre effectively.
Bobcat also recently unveiled the battery powered S70e loader concept machine at the Conexpo in Las Vegas. With electrically powered machines having the potential to revolutionise the compact equipment industry, Bobcat said it plans to be the first to engineer an all-electric loader.
