Tabreed appoints new CFO
Adel Salem Al Wahedi brings 22 years of experience to UAE-based district cooling developer
National Central Cooling Company (Tabreed), a leading UAE-based district cooling developer, has appointed Adel Salem Al Wahedi as its new chief financial officer.
In a statement, Tabreed said that Al Wahedi brings a wealth of 22 years of experience to the company, having extensively operated in the fields of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, statutory accounting, budgeting, planning, costing and strategic decision making.
With a proven track record as a business leader in both private and public companies in the region, Al Wahedi will be expected to enhance the expertise and experience of Tabreed’s management team, Bader Al Lamki, CEO of Tabreed, said.

Prior to joining Tabreed, Al Wahedi served as CFO for some of the largest entities in the UAE including Abu Dhabi Ports Company and Petrofac Emirates, in addition to holding senior positions at Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat), said the company in its statement. He also has considerable experience working in companies that have highly technical operations at their core, the statement added.
With 80 district cooling plants across the GCC region, Tabreed currently delivers over 1.18 million refrigeration tonnes to projects including Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Yas Island, Dubai Metro, Bahrain Financial Harbour and the Jabal Omar Development in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
