Work on $735mn Jabal Al Dhanna to begin soon, Modon Properties says
Developer makes announcement following inspection tour by Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra region to proposed site
Modon Properties, the UAE-based developer, has announced that work on its $735 million Jabal Al Dhanna residential project, which is being developed on the coast of the Al Dahfra region, is set to begin soon.
The announcement comes on the back of an inspection tour by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra region, to the proposed site location for the housing project. As a master developer, Modon has been mandated by the Abu Dhabi government to build vibrant and sustainable communities, and to develop strategic mixed-use projects in the emirate.
The Jabal Al Dhanna housing development will come up over an area of 1.29 million sqm, and will feature more than 1,449 apartments, two schools, eight mosques, a community centre and a medical clinic. In addition, there will be more than 700 villas and townhouses within the development.
Once complete, the project will accommodate 12,000 people, including employees and their families who work in government and for semi-government institutions in the Al Dhafra region.
During the visit, Sheikh Hamdan underlined the importance of the long-term planning of development and strategic projects in the emirate.
“This will help ensure provision of new residential neighbourhoods and cater for its residents’ needs, ultimately contributing to the prosperity of UAE nationals and residents of Al Dhafra,” he added.
