Khidmah appoints two senior executives in line with its growing business plans
Aldar’s Khidmah appoints new CEO and executive director to lead the firm’s services across multiple sectors and locations
Khidmah has announced that it has appointed Abdulla Al Wahedi as its chief executive officer and Maher Al Aghbar as its executive director, in line with its business growth plans.
In his capacity as CEO, Al Wahedi will ensure that there is quality and business progress, and is expected to lead the firm’s services across multiple sectors and locations. Meanwhile, Al Aghbar will manage the enforcement of Khidmah’s stringent quality and operational standards across the company’s portfolio to ensure that clients always receive value for their investments.
Jassem Saleh Busaibe, Khidmah’s chairman, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Abdulla and Maher to the growing Khidmah family. Both executives bring rich and demonstrated expertise to deliver on Khidmah’s regional growth and portfolio expansion strategy.”
Al Wahedi has over two decades of experience in the infrastructure and facilities management industry and has held a number of high-profile roles responsible for facility management operations and expanding the business, according to a statement from Khidmah.
Prior to joining Khidmah, Al Wahedi worked on iconic projects in the UAE including Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall and gained FM exposure from projects in Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, Al Aghbar has more than 30 years of experience in facilities management. He is said to have served in numerous executive positions within the region, the UK and Canada where he was in charge of facilities and services, including planning and operations.
Al Aghbar is also an active member of different professional FM associations, including the Middle East Facilities Management Association (MEFMA).
Khidmah’s parent company, Aldar Properties had last year announced a new strategy for Khidmah to focus on delivering facilities management and home maintenance services across multiple sectors including residential, education, hospitality, commercial, retail healthcare and government sectors.
“I am confident that their rich knowledge of the sector will undoubtedly reflect positively on our current and future clients and partners,” Busaibe concluded.
