Water security and digitisation high on Acciona’s agenda at WFES

ACCIONA’s Water Division to join water security and digitisation of the sector debates at this week’s event

ACCIONA’s Water Division is set to join the Water Expo & Forum at this week’s World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2020 summit to be held in Abu Dhabi.

The company has an exhibition area in the Water Expo & Forum, located at stand 4105  and, according to the company, will offer visitors the opportunity to learn about the projects the company has been working on over the last year in its different lines of business, and particularly in the field of desalination, one in which ACCIONA is a leader in the Middle East.

ACCIONA is also joining other world leaders in the water sector, on expert panels to analyse the main challenges facing the sector and to explore ways of ensuring sustainable water supplies in a context of population growth and climate change.

Jesús Sancho, managing director of ACCIONA’s Infrastructure Business Division in the Middle East, will participate in tomorrow’s “Mitigating natural & unnatural threats to water security” panel.

Julio de la Rosa, ACCIONA’s business development director in the Middle East, will present a case study to highlight how digitisation can bring about major improvements in terms of efficiency, during the panel titled “Water in the Digital Age” at 10:35 on the following day.

According to Acciona, WFES is one of the main B2B world events on sustainability and the leader in this segment in the Middle East. It is a platform and meeting point that brings together governments and companies to debate the issues and challenges faced by the water sector in arid regions of the world, as well as presenting cutting-edge solutions that allow joint efforts to be made to deal with these challenges.
