AECOM recruits new MEA buildings director

Jason Singleton will ‘focus on delivering large scale and complex building projects across the region’

AECOM has a new buildings director for the Middle East and Africa region.

Former BuroHappold executive Jason Singleton has been tasked with delivering large scale and complex building projects across the region, working with clients to enhance the built environment, AECOM explained in a statement.

“Jason will also be responsible for ensuring people are at the core of our business, including our clients, staff and collaborators. This will enable AECOM to continue to support current developments as well as push the boundaries and in time, transform communities,” it added.

At BuroHappold, Singleton was responsible for developing new markets, managing client relationships and leading the firm’s technical consultancy services. His time at the firm included spending three years in Saudi Arabia as country director where he secured key roles on major projects aligned to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

“With more than 20 years’ professional experience in the UK and Middle East, Jason’s geographic and technical knowledge will enhance AECOM’s Buildings practice across the region,” said Mario Pishiri, managing director, Buildings + Places, Middle East & Africa, AECOM. “I am confident that Jason’s appointment will reinforce our project delivery and client focus, and impact positively on our business growth.”

Building relationships with key clients and transforming communities across the region is vital when considering potential opportunities within the built environment, said Singleton.

“With around 200 professionals within the Middle East Buildings team and a range of multidisciplinary experts readily available to support client needs, I am excited to be joining AECOM,” he stated.
