Tower crane manufacturer Comansa has launched a new large-capacity flat-top model, the 21LC1400, which is now available in the market.
Comansa said the new model adds to its extensive range of large-capacity flat-tops and is expected to be used mainly in infrastructure and Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) projects. The 21LC1400 will also provide enhanced performance on other projects involving lifting very heavy loads, such as in shipyards, mining and other industrial sectors.
According to Comansa, the 21LC1400 features a modular design counter jib to significantly reduce operating radius on small sites. A new single and highly compact trolley-hook has also been designed for the 21LC1400, which replaces Comansa’s single-double trolley system, standard in its other models. This is because this new crane will work mainly in projects in which maximum load capacity is required for almost every lift, said the manufacturer.
The 21LC1400 comes in two versions with maximum load capacities of 50t and 66t. It has an 85m jib as standard, extendable up to 90m, and a new cage designed as an extension of the range that includes the latest upgrades of cages previously available only for smaller cranes.
Comansa has also announced the addition of its ‘Quick Set’ electronic limitation system, exhibited in Bauma this year. The system reduces set-up time of the cranes from three hours to 45 minutes and also reduces the number of staff required during set-up operations.
The 21LC1400 comes with Comansa’s new CUBE cab as standard. First exhibited at the end of 2017, it sports an innovative design and a new user experience. Comansa says this includes “ample space and great comfort, productivity and new features”, which earned it the IF design award, one of the most prestigious international awards in the industrial sector
