Industrial mortars specialist Saint-Gobain Weber says it has completed the full integration of Lebanese company Sodamco Holding and its subsidiaries.
Established in Lebanon in 1985, Sodamco has grown to become a major player in the field of industrial mortars and concrete admixtures over the past years. Saint-Gobain Weber first acquired a majority stake in the Sodamco Group in 2009.The operation will offer tile fixing, façade, flooring, premixed plasters, technical mortars, and waterproofing as well as concrete admixtures solutions under the flagship of Sodamco-Weber across the Middle East.
The company presently employs around 600 people and has an annual turnover of $120 million and is at the forefront of Middle East suppliers with an established industrial presence in the Near East and Gulf regions.
In a statement announcing the full integration, the company said: “Saint-Gobain Construction Products has a strong foothold in the Middle East region which continues to experience a very dynamic growth in the construction activity, real-estate and infrastructure developments”.
Thenew development falls in the strategy of the Saint-Gobain wich relies on expanding internationally in developing countries and becoming “the construction markets’ prime reference in providing sustainable and innovative solutions to save energy and protect the environment”.
