IHG signs agreement to open its third voco hotel in Saudi Arabia

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) has signed an agreement with Nouh Mohamad Nouh and Partners Limited for a voco hotel within Jeddah Gate in Saudi Arabia.

The 681-key hotel will be located in the Fayhaa area within Jeddah Gate, a master-planned community featuring a combination of residential housing units, commercial areas and recreational amenities. Meanwhile, voco Jeddah Gate will have two F&B options as well as four meeting rooms which can accommodate up to 600 guests as well as recreational facilities such as an outdoor pool and a health club.

According to a statement from IHG, the agreement signing reinforces its commitment to expanding its footprint across the Kingdom. Expected to open in January 2021, voco Jeddah Gate will be IHG’s sixth hotel in Jeddah and the fifth brand from the IHG family.

Pascal Gauvin, managing director, India, Middle East & Africa, IHG said: “We are pleased to collaborate with Nouh Mohamad Nouh and Partners Limited to further expand the presence of the voco brand across Saudi Arabia.”

Meanwhile, Mohamad Nouh Marak, general manager of Nouh Mohamad Nouh and Partners Limited stated: “The signing demonstrates our shared commitment to Vision 2030 and confidence in the future growth of the Saudi tourism sector. voco Jeddah Gate will be the largest branded hotel in Jeddah and will be a preferred choice for travellers who seek a bold, distinctive identity and informal service style.”

IHG also added that the new hotel will be located 10 minutes from King Abdulaziz International Airport and in close proximity to the main railroad linking the Holy Cities of Makkah and Madina to Jeddah.
