CBRE appointed to manage AXA Building in Bahrain Bay

The soon to be completed AXA Building in the Bahrain Bay development will be managed by the CBRE.

The firm has been appointed as the leasing consultant and property manager of the seven storey commercial building, which boasts a gross floor area in excess of 6,200sqm.

As per a statement, the building will be partially occupied by AXA Gulf. The structure will offer purpose designed office accommodation for the insurance firm’s Bahrain-based employees, while a customer service centre will take shape on the ground floor.

“The AXA Building is an impressive commercial property in a prominent position in Bahrain Bay, which is growing in popularity as a destination for office occupiers. It offers an easily accessible and strategically advantageous location for firms looking to establish or expand their operations in Bahrain. CBRE is delighted to have been appointed to manage and lease the AXA Building and look forward to working closely with AXA Gulf as owner occupiers of the property,” said Richard Botham, CBRE’s senior director and general manager.

The CBRE says it will market the remaining office and retail space for lease, which will total approximately 3,200sqm spread across 11 units. The building will also provide over 200 parking spaces and is said to offer an attractive parking ratio to tenants along with additional visitor parking.
According to CBRE, the building will be of Grade A standard and is said to feature sustainability as a key consideration in its design. The building boasts rooftop solar panels and automated lighting controls, which are said to aid energy conservation and efficiency.

Cédric Charpentier, CEO of AXA Gulf added, “I’m delighted to have appointed CBRE to help us manage the new AXA Building. I am also proud that this property strengthens our commitment to the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region as a whole, as well as positively impacting the work-life quality of our colleagues in Bahrain.”
