Aldar issues contracts worth $276mn for Alreeman and Reflection projects

Contracts worth $276 million have been awarded by Aldar Properties for its Alreeman and Reflection projects in Abu Dhabi.

Aldar issued the update as part of a broader overview on key properties in the capital.

Aldar said that work on infrastructure in Alreeman began earlier in July, following the appointment of Tristar Engineering & Construction as the main contractor. Alreeman is a master-planned residential and commercial investment zone in the Al Shamkhah area.

With a contract value of $216 million, the handover of work on the 2.8m sqm development is expected by July 2021. Tristar’s scope of work includes the construction of roads and infrastructure along with works related to earth, storm drainage and sewerage.

The contractor’s work also includes installing the development’s gas network, water works, irrigation and telecom systems, in addition to general road works, street lighting and landscaping. The contract spans 24 months.

Aldar also awarded a $59.9m contract for construction works at its 374-unit Reflection residential development to Fibrex Construction Group in April. Excavation, piling and shoring works as well as pile load tests have already been completed at the two-tower project, while pile head cutting is underway, the developer said. Fibrex’s contract also spans 24 months.
