Aldar Properties wins multiple AUH contracts

Aldar Properties has partnered with several Abu Dhabi Government entities to deliver social, economic and infrastructure projects to the tune of $1.36 billion across multiple key destinations in Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Government appointed Aldar to complete the remaining infrastructure and public realm works on Saadiyat Island. The contract is said to be worth $545 million and will help enable better integration of the island into the broader Abu Dhabi metropolitan area via the construction of roads and utilities.

According to a statement from Aldar, the project will ensure that Saadiyat Island is equipped with the best infrastructure, which will in turn attract further investments. Existing cultural and educational landmarks on the island include the Louvre Abu Dhabi, New York University Abu Dhabi, Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, a number of beach resorts and several residential communities.

The Abu Dhabi Housing Authority has also appointed Aldar to develop the expansion of Al Falah, a master-planned community developed for UAE nationals. The $545 million project will add an additional 899 villas to the existing stock of 4,898.

twofour54 awarded Aldar a $272 million contract to develop its new campus on Yas Island. The development will bring a working population of 10,000 to the island through its facilities and will play a key role in encouraging further investment into the UAE capital’s media and entertainment industry, the statement said.

Aldar will appoint contractors for all three projects immediately to ensure that works commence with phased completions starting as early as 2021, the developer said.
