Nakheel Malls and Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club creating zombie park on Deira Islands
65,000sqft Zombie Apocalypse Park set to open in mid-2020
Nakheel Malls, the retail arm of master developer Nakheel, has announced a collaboration with Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club to create a giant zombie-themed entertainment zone, featuring more than 12 activities and attractions, at The Night Market atDeira Islands.
Zombie Apocalypse Park (ZAP) is the first of its kind in the UAE. It features a line up of live acts, battles and events, powered by glow in the dark technology. Activities include paintball games, escape games, VR 9D cinema, haunted house, axe throwing, archery, haunted corn mazes, air soft battle games, laser tag, trampolines, target shooting, zombie apocalypse attack and zombie runs.
The ZAP collaboration was cemented on June 27 at a signing ceremony led by Nakheel CEO Sanjay Manchanda and Joseph Estephan, general manager, Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club.
Set to open in mid-2020, the 65,000sqft fantasy land also has its own car park, zombie-themed café, party room for private events and a ZAP activities shop.

The Night Market is one of a range of Nakheel retail, leisure and hospitality projects at Deira Islands. It will be the world’s largest night market, with over 5,000 waterfront shops, restaurants, cafes and attractions, and more than 3,000 parking spaces. Construction on the project is complete, with landscaping, water features and other finishing touches in progress.
