Abanos appointed for fit-out of Address Residences Dubai Opera project

Serviced apartments are scheduled for completion in July 2020

Abanos has won the contract for the fit-out of Emaar’s Address Residences Dubai Opera development in Downtown Dubai. The serviced apartments are said to feature architecture that aligns with Emaar’s chain of residences and require bespoke interior fit-out work.

According to a statement, Abanos’ scope of work includes the joinery and fit-out of the serviced apartments and public areas. The project comprises two high-rise towers with serviced apartments, one of which has been commissioned to Abanos.

The development will feature 809 apartments split between one-, two- and three-bedroom units in addition to four- and five-bedroom penthouses. Emaar says the development provides residents with amenities such as lounges, a swimming pool, a gym, a kids’ club and an expansive landscaped terrace.

“Our strategic partnership with Emaar continues to develop with the commission of yet another project, the Address Residences Dubai Opera. We are thrilled to have won this milestone contract and to further demonstrate our expertise in bespoke fit-out and joinery work, bringing their vision to life. Our track-record for innovative and challenging projects is showcased via our diverse portfolio, made possible through the dedication and tireless efforts of our team,” said Kamal Farah, CEO of Abanos.

The fit-out firm says it leverages BIM (Building Information Modelling) to finalise co-ordination with all trades and solve complicated interfaces, extracting complete shop drawings from the 3D models.

Farah also noted that Abanos was recently awarded the contract for the Dubai Expo Village project, which is another milestone for the company.
