The chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu has signed three contracts worth $42.6m for the implementation of a number of projects in Yanbu and Jubail industrial cities.
A report by Arab News said that Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan signed the contracts. The first of these will be for the procurement of supervisors, manpower and equipment required for the installation of power, telecommunications, water and sewage networks in Yanbu Industrial City. It will also include the construction of roads and have them connected to existing road networks.
The second contract will focus on the expansion of a package of utility services in a number of locations within Yanbu Industrial City’s residential areas.
The third contract centres on the development of a TV circuit in the residential unit of Jubail Industrial City, to raise the efficiency of the TV cable system that will provide analogue and digital channels, as well as data services.
In addition, the scope of work included in the contract will include the provision of all engineering, design and management works, equipment, manpower, test and experimental tools. Technical and supervisory services and approval of all executive plans are also included in this third contract.
Earlier this year, Prince Saud signed a contract worth $46.8m for the construction of support buildings at Jubail Industrial College. Previously, he had signed contracts worth $33.5m for infrastructure work in Jubail and Yanbu, the Saudi newspaper said.
