New CEO for thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions in Saudi Arabia
thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions says Volker Hellberg has succeeded Thomas Dreiling as its Country CEO in Saudi Arabia.
According to the company, Hellberg has a long track record in the Middle East having joined thyssenkrupp since 2015.
Dreiling will now move to Germany as the head of its cement plants operating unit. During a four-year tenure, he was responsible for combining various thyssenkrupp businesses such as cement, mining, chemicals and services into a single entity – thyssenkrupp Saudi Arabia Contracting. The company says he played a major role in growing a strong network of clients, government entities and stakeholders such as for the Yamama project.
In a statement the company added that his successor has a long-standing connection to Saudi Arabia, “and will continue to drive the growth of thyssenkrupp’s plant engineering and construction business in the country with a special focus on the industrial service portfolio. Previously, he served as the Vice President Service and Business Development Cement & Mining at thyssenkrupp Saudi Arabia. In the past, Volker Hellberg has worked at various multinational companies including Humboldt Wedag GmbH and Claudius Peters Technologies GmbH, and has vast experience in industrial services.”
