The chairman and CEO of Dubai’s Falconcity of Wonders, Salem Al Moosa, has announced the developer has appointed Modern Building Contracting to construct 100 villas on the mega-project’s Emirates Road site.

Speaking during CityScape Global, held last week in Dubai, Al Moosa said the firm was “pleased” to make the announcement. It comes after a period of flux for the development, which has been trying to attract investors for some months.

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Modern Building Contracting (MBC) to contribute to the success of Falconcity of Wonders,” Al Mossa.

This is the second series of villas being assigned to the leading contractor.

Partner and GM of MBC, Abdul Nasser Al Kadri, added: “We are honoured to work with Falconcity of Wonders and appreciate their trust in our company. “The World in a city’ project is a unique development and we look forward to be part of this legend”.

The announcement follows confirmation that the multi-purpose development will feature a giant replica of Taj Mahal by 2014.
