YBA Kanoo inks deal with AXA for Bahrain Bay project

Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group (YBA Kanoo) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with insurance specialist AXA for its new real estate development in Bahrain Bay. The seven storey building features 6,000sqm of commercial space and is expected to open for business towards the end of summer this year.

According to a statement, extensive work has gone into the design, build and fit-out of the structure, in a bid to ensure AXA staff have a comfortable work-environment and a more customer-centric location.

“Both parties are committed to supporting the Kingdom’s economic development and will continue to co-operate with the Economic Development Board of Bahrain. This MoU is a testament to the two groups’ shared vision of collaboration and long-term business ventures, drawing on the strengths of their well-established partnership in Bahrain,” said Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, director of Corporate, Marketing & Public Relations at YBA Kanoo.

YBA Kanoo also notes that the building has been designed with sustainability in mind and will feature rooftop solar panels and automated lighting.

“I am proud of our strong legacy with the Kanoo family spanning several decades and this building reflects not only the ambitious spirit of our partnership, but also strengthens our commitment to the Kingdom and the region as a whole,” adds Cédric Charpentier, AXA Gulf’s CEO.
