KSA inaugurates $480m educational projects
Construction begins on some of the largest educational projects in the Kingdom
Saudi Arabia has inaugurated educational projects worth $479.9m in the Asir region of the Kingdom, it was announced on Monday.
Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, governor of the Asir region, laid the foundation stones for a number of school building projects, marking the commencement of construction work on them.
In a statement, the Prince said that these projects were amongst the largest educational projects in the Kingdom.
He added that the government was following up the construction of the schools with service projects that are currently being implemented across a number of fields, including roads, healthcare and education.
Saudi Arabia has pledged to spend billions of dollars on a number of projects across the country, with a specific focus on healthcare, education and infrastructure.
Earlier this month, it agreed to $480m in contracts to build specialised medical centres in the King Fahd Medical City in Riyadh.
