Two regional companies have been selected as finalists in the global Be Inspired competition, run by infrastructure IT giant, Bentley.
The Saudi Electricity Company has been nominated for the “connecting project teams” category and Abu Dhabi’s LAB architecture studio has been nominated for “innovation in generative design” special recognition award. In total there were 58 finalists from 39 countries
The awards are described as honouring “the extraordinary work of Bentley users improving and sustaining the world’s infrastructure”.
“Our Be Inspired Awards programme this year drew exceptionally strong project nominations of the highest calibre from the four corners of the globe,” Bentley Systems COO Malcolm Walter said.
“They represented every major category of infrastructure asset and spanned small to mega projects leveraging information modelling through integrated projects, facilitated by information mobility. I congratulate all of the finalists and look forward to their presentations in Amsterdam as we enter the final leg of the Be Inspired competition,” Walter added.
2012 marks the 8th edition of the event and will take place November 13-14 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
