Middle East construction claims and dispute resolution specialist DBSConsult says it is opening a second UAE office in Abu Dhabi.

Following a period of rapid growth, DBSConsult says the new office will enable it better service clients based in the UAE capital.

A significant portion of our claims business is already undertaken on behalf of Abu Dhabi clients and we believe that the best way to serve these clients and to secure new clients is via a permanent base in Abu Dhabi,” stated managing director David Brodie-Stedman.

The office is based at SJ Tower on Airport Road, and the firm says it will host a “multi-talented team of dispute professionals” led by Brodie-Stedman and two directors: George Smith (Contracts & Quantum) and Ahmed Abdelbakey (Delay & Planning).

DBS and the senior team of this new office collectively have over 35 years’ claims and dispute resolution experience in the Abu Dhabi construction market, the company added in a statement. Brodie-Stedman is expected to take a lead role in the development of the new office and fully supported and assisted by the other DBSConsult Partners.

“Claims resolution in Abu Dhabi requires a very different approach from elsewhere in the region and with a number of competitors recently exiting from the market or reducing their presence this is the ideal time for properly experienced consultants to enhance their presence in this key location,” concluded Brodie-Stedman.
