Contractors vs Consultants Cup 2018
Consultants take home the title of the first-ever competition that pits the best of the construction industry against each other for 18-holes of golf
Big Project ME and ME Consultant hosted more than 70 golfers from across the construction industry in the region for the first-ever Contractors vs Consultants Cup.
Held at The Address Montgomerie in Dubai on December 12, 2018, the day-long tournament brought together the winners of the two previous golf days organised by Big Project ME and ME Consultant – the Contractors Cup 2018 and the Consultants Cup 2018.
Teams from both sides of the industry faced off against each other for 18-holes, while also competing in on-course competitions and networking in a relaxed and fun-filled environment.
Targeted at senior executives and decision-makers from the region’s most prominent consultants and contractors, attendees for the first-ever Contractors vs Consultants Cup were made up of representatives from Multiplex, Six Construct, Faithful + Gould, theVEROstudio and HKA Global Consulting, and many others.
“It was a great opportunity to meet some new people here at the golf day, both contractors and consultants” said Chuks Nwabineli, Advisory and Experts Services at HKA Global Consulting.
After a long day of fun-filled competition, the first-ever winners of the Contractors vs Consultants Cup were the consultants, winning by 21.2, with a total of 523.2 Net, in comparison to the Contractors total of 544.4 Net.
Raz Islam, publishing director of CPI Trade, told Big Project ME that he was delighted with the turnout on the day. He thanked the sponsors and participants for making the event such a huge success.

The Furniture Practice Middle East held a lucky draw prize where winners could receive an AED2,500 cash prize, which was won by Sandeep Singh; while The Construction Executive Golf Society donated a prize of a four ball at Dubai Hills to the winning team of the day – this was given to Karolina Barron, Hassan Yezdi, Chris Graham and Ross Hopwood, who collectively registered a score of 53.84 Net.
