Phase II of construction begins at Afghanistan’s Sheikh Zayed City

Project for disabled people will see houses, schools and healthcare centre built from UAE funds

The second phase of construction for the Sheikh Zayed City for Disabled People in Kabul was flagged off by the UAE Ambassador to Afghanistan, it was announced earlier this month.

Yusuf Saif Khamis Al Ali flagged of the project, which will see 200 houses built, along with a mosque big enough to house 1000 worshippers, two schools for more than 1,500 children and a healthcare centre which will cater to Afghani villagers.

The launch of the second phase is part of the UAE’s humanitarian and development works in the troubled country.
