L&T-led consortium wins EPCI contract from Saudi Aramco

Larsen & Turbo (L&T) has announced that they have won an engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) order for two projects from Saudi Aramco, in consortium with Subsea 7 making this their fifth contract from the oil giant.

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering (LTHE), a wholly owned subsidiary of L&T said the contract is for EPCI works at three oil production deck manifolds and subsea pipelines in the Zuluf and Berri fields of Saudi Aramco. Currently, there are four offshore contracts under execution by the consortium for Saudi Aramco under long-term agreement, L&T said in a statement.

L&T also said in the statement that their hydrocarbon engineering subsidiary has served the offshore oil and gas industry with consistent delivery and that is what brings oil majors and national oil companies to repeat orders for challenging projects.

“Through excellent execution performance on the ongoing projects, LTHE has established a strong track record in the Middle East,” L&T added.

LTHE stated that the project will be built at its flagship facility at Hazira in Gujarat, India which is specifically established to “design and build” offshore oil and gas projects.
