During its quarterly update, developer Aldar Properties said that work on Meera, its master-planned community on Reem Island in Abu Dhabi, has reached the final stages. The firm says the project is on track for handover in this quarter.
The firm says it has also appointed subcontractors for all the construction works at The Bridges, a six-building development that is located on Reem Island. The project was first launched in April 2017. Aldar says slab work and blockwork was progressing well on the three buildings in Phase One, while excavation work is almost complete on the remaining three buildings.
Speaking about its Yas Acres development, Aldar said show villas were now complete and open for viewing at the golf and waterfront development on Yas Island. It also said that structural works on all 652 villas were almost complete and the main utility network is complete. Aldar said it will begin handovers of Yas Acres in 2019.
Speaking about its two waterfront apartment communities on Yas Island, the developer pointed out that enabling works were complete across the 13 building Water’s Edge development. It also said concrete, casting and vertical works were now underway across all five buildings within Mayan.
Mamsha Al Saadiyat was said to be on track for handover next year as well. The developer said the 1.4km mixed-use project at the Saadiyat Cultural District was showcased earlier in the month at Cityscape Global. Building façade works at the beachfront residences are said to be complete across all buildings, and MEP and finishing works are entering the final stages of completion.
Aldar said work was progressing at pace on Jawaher Saadiyat, a gated community on Saadiyat Island. Interior finishes on the 83 four-to-six bedroom townhouses and villas are said to be underway, while the show villa is also close to completion.
