IMKAN announces seven-tower ‘Pixel’ project for Makers District
The project is scheduled for completion in Q4, 2020
Abu Dhabi based real estate developer, IMKAN has announced the start of construction work for its seven-tower “Pixel” project in Reem Island in Abu Dhabi. Pixel is phase one of the 18ha mixed-use development, Makers District.
Pixel’s seven towers will be comprised of residential apartments, co-working office spaces, F&B and retail and will be surrounded by water features and infuse a sense of creativity and well-being into everyday living, the company stated.
As per the schedule, Makers District is due for completion in Q4 of 2020 and the tenders for the main works will be awarded in Q1, 2019. Contracting firm, Dutch Foundation has completed all 938 secants of shoring and started with five metres of excavation inside Pixel. This is to accommodate two basements of approx. 22,000 sqm each, while piling works will be finished by Q1, 2019.
