Cundall appoints Lee French to head Civil Engineering & Infrastructure team

Cundall has grown its Middle East footprint with the appointment of Lee French. French will head the firm’s Civil Engineering & Infrastructure team and will focus on enhancing the consultancy’s regional operations and the civil and infrastructure brand in the region.

French has been with Cundall since 2001 and joins the Dubai office from Newcastle in the UK, having previously been based in the region for four years. He is said to have an extremely strong track record of delivering large and complex schemes’ and has led and managed design teams and projects across the UK, Middle East and Africa.

I’m extremely excited to be re-joining the MENA leadership team and to be heading up the civil offering in Dubai. Cundall are now very well-established right across the MENA region with a fantastic portfolio of projects and I am really looking forward to being part of the continued development and growth. At Cundall, we have made it our mission to create fantastic built environments and have a positive impact on our communities,” French said.

According to a statement from Cundall, French is a Chartered Civil Engineer (Member of the Institution of Civil Engineer) and Chartered Construction Manager (Member of the Chartered Institute of Building) and is a champion of innovative sustainable approaches in building infrastructure. He is said to have an interest in adaptingto future climate change and sits on various committees within Cundall dedicated to research in specific impact fields.

At this juncture, on the release of our new Sustainability Roadmap, we have a real opportunity to work with our MENA clients to deliver on that promise and create truly amazing sustainable building and infrastructure projects. Also, being able to offer civil engineering locally from Dubai for the first time really strengthens our multi-disciplinary approach and solidifies our commitment to the global market.
