wasl gate officially released into Dubai’s freehold property market
1.23mn sqm project will be one of the largest new developments on Sheikh Zayed Road
wasl Asset Management Group, one of the largest real estate management companies in Dubai, has officially released its prime master development, wasl gate, into Dubai’s freehold property market.
In a statement, wasl said that the launch follows the success of wasl1, the company’s first freehold master development, which is located near Zabeel Park. Situated in Jebel Ali beside Sheikh Zayed Road, wasl gate is a freehold property that covers an area of 1.23 million sqm. Featuring extensive pedestrian areas, the project will provide 257 townhouses and around 6,500 apartments once complete.
A major aspect of wasl gate will be a new mall by Al Futtaim, which is one of the most diversified regional businesses in the Gulf region. Known as Festival Plaza, it is scheduled to be completed by the end of next year, and will host Dubai’s second Ikea outlet, along with an Ace store. In addition, a number of restaurants, coffee shops, family entertainment and leisure options will be available, along with a new concept hypermarket.
wasl gate will also be supported by a number of hospital and leisure facilities, a sports complex, an international school that will cater to students from kindergarten through to grade 12, and a central park that will link the commercial and residential districts within the project.
Furthermore, the real estate management company has also announced that sales for ‘The Nook’ – the first two buildings of the development – will start on October 8, 2018. The buildings are located within the larger wasl gate development, close to the Energy metro station.
“At wasl, we are constantly seeking to ensure added-value to our customers with each of our unique projects by offering them new concepts with attractive investment options. We had already confirmed this commitment in wasl1, and the ‘wasl gate’ project will be a continuation of this approach,” said Hesham Al Qassim, group CEO of wasl Asset Management Group.
He added that the wasl gate project was designed to provide a wide range of offerings for Dubai residents, and that it would be one of the largest new developments on Sheikh Zayed Road, within proximity of Ibn Battuta Mall and The Gardens area.
