JA Solar supplies PERC modules for Aramex solar project
Project will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by Aramex’ logistics centre by 3,000 tons annually
JA Solar Holdings Company has announced that it has delivered 3.2MW of mono passivated emitter and rear cell (PERC) modules for an Aramex solar project in Dubai. The Aramex project in Dubai Logistics City is said to be the largest single-rooftop solar project across the MENA region.
The project was constructed on a turnkey basis by IMG Solar, a subsidiary of Izzat Marji Group in Jordan. As per a statement, the solar project is expected to generate five million kWh of electricity per year, which is enough to satisfy 60% of the Aramex facility’s needs.
JA Solar is the core patent holder of PERC technology, and said that the focus on quality and pace ensured the successful completion of the Aramex solar project.
“We are committed to the research and development of mass-produced, high-efficiency solar modules. We will continue to provide customers with high-quality products and services and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the photovoltaic industry,” said Cao Bo, VP of JA Solar.
Bo also said that the modules can resist high temperature and the abrasion of wind and sand, have higher reliability and power generation efficiency, and provide a solid guarantee for maximising the power generation out of the system.
