Summit to explore ways for regional companies to get involved in $300bn worth of infrastructure projects

Saudi Arabia is set to welcome representatives from leading global construction equipment manufacturers to attend the Saudi Mega Infrastructure Projects Summit.

The summit will explore ways to get involved in $300bn worth of infrastructure projects, including major road building works, set to take place in the Kingdom.

The event, to be held between September 16 and 18, 2012 at the Riyadh Marriott Hotel, will highlight how $29.6bn alone will be invested in the transport sector under the Ninth Development Plan (NDP).

Among  the key industry offices whose senior personnel will be attending the three-day event are the National Water Company, Saudi Electricity Company, King Abdullah Economic City, and MODON.

“This is a unique and invaluable opportunity to meet and engage with Saudi Arabia’s government and private sector leaders overseeing the biggest projects market in the Middle East,” said a spokesperson for the summit.

“If you are looking to grow your business in the region – Saudi Arabia is an essential market to break.”
