Damac says first Sharia-compliant project enters final stages of completion
Ghalia tower project consists of 727 furnished luxury apartments
Damac, the Dubai-based property developer, has said that its first Sharia-compliant tower project – the one million square foot Ghalia tower in Jumeirah Village Circle – has entered the final stages of completion.
Featuring 727 furnished luxury apartments, Ghalia has been developed and will operate in alignment with the principles of Sharia, said Ali Sajwani, general manager of Operations at Damac Properties. It will offer residents and visitors separate leisure amenities for men and women, including separate dining facilities, gymnasiums and swimming pools. It will have a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom furnished apartments.
“Ghalia is a special project for Damac, as the tower offers residents the option to have their furnished apartments fully serviced,” said Sajwani.
“Furthermore, Ghalia caters to our growing Muslim customers who are seeking luxury living that also complies with Sharia laws. Damac strives to provide dream homes and unique living concepts for customers from around the world, and we are thrilled to be completing the tower in 2018, with handover of units starting near the end of the year.”
According to a report by Euromonitor International, the global market intelligence publisher, Muslim consumers are expected to make up 26% of the global population by 2030, driving demand for ‘halal’ lifestyle products across all sectors, including real estate.
The JVC community is situated near two major upcoming retail destinations for Dubai – Al Khail Avenue, and Mall of the World. It also hosts a number of amenities such as parks, schools, mosques and a number of landscaped areas.
