Bahrain awards $45m contracts in two months

Bahrain’s Works Ministry has awarded 10 tenders in the months of July and August

Ten tenders have been awarded during the months of July and August by Bahrain’s Works Ministry with a total value of $45m.

The ministry also said it invited bids for 11 tenders amounting to around $21m. The projects include building maintenance to revamp Bahrain Training Institute’s Electricity Network Project, maintenance of the Prime Minister’s Court Building, the revamp of Avenue 5 in Isa Town, blocks 801 and 812.

In August, bids were invited for five projects, including a $263,774 contract for the maintenance of car park timers, a $3.6m contract to renovate Hawar Highway from Askar to Jaw, a $769,178 contract for the construction of a parking area adjacent to Bahrain Defence Force in Hamala.

There was also a $795,700 contract awarded for the painting and maintenance of bridges (phase 2), and a $6.23m contract for the re-construction of Sitra Causeway Project.
