Pacific and Qube launch subscription-based infrastructure management solutions

Pay monthly for Pacific Controls’ solutions while accessing reference designs

Pacific Controls has announced a strategic partnership with Chicago-based Qube which will see it launch a subscription-based service in the region offering hardware, licensing, real time support, cloud services, and management on a single monthly bill.

Describing it as a “completely revolutionary approach to technology infrastructure”, Pacific Controls explained that together with Qube, it is offering the “benefits of complete end-to-end solutions that include Pacific Controls’ proven and revolutionary Galaxy IOT platform, world class Tier III Data Centre and extensive Cloud services” portfolio.

The joint solutions include connectivity to a limitless array of typically disparate sensors through Galaxy gateways, Gbots, WAN connectivity, and security, networking and virtualization infrastructure via the Qube IT as a System.

Although cloud solutions have seen exponential growth over the last several years, and many businesses are realising the value of procuring IT solutions as a Service, the approach to on-premise infrastructure has remained relatively unchanged, said Pacific Controls. “Much of the momentum that is shifting to cloud solutions involves 5 core tenets: Self-Service Access, On-Demand Provisioning, Consumption-based Economics, Elastic Scalability, and Anywhere Access.  Qube believes these benefits of cloud can be applied to the on-premise infrastructure as well, including security, networking, collaboration, and server virtualization and storage.  This innovative approach allows organizations to achieve the benefits of a cloud model, while still keeping critical portions of their server and storage environment on-premise.”

Together, Pacific Controls and Qube believe an effective technology architecture should incorporate solutions that are designed to work together as a system and should be built around reliable partners to remain sustainable.

Customers can configure Qube through an online Qube Builder on Pacific Controls’ Portal, dynamically displaying best practice reference designs, which incorporate years of experience in resource building and innovative solution architecture and consulting expertise.  Once the order is placed, the logical configuration begins, and the physical assembly of the components occurs.

Out of the box, Qube is fully assembled and configured; the customer simply needs to connect power, internet, and their devices (Plug and Play).  Pacific Controls have incorporated their Galaxy gateways and cloud solutions into the Qube Builder, “radically simplifying” the delivery of typically complex solutions.

“We have been pioneers in providing innovative and disruptive technologies to the market. Today, ICT infrastructure is increasingly being managed across on-premise, co-located and cloud environments,” said Sanjay Nayak, CEO of Pacific Controls. “This requires a trusted, flexible and scalable framework that allows for frictionless transition across the environments. We are pleased to leverage Qube’s IT as a System™ approach to launch the first Network-as-a-Service offering in the region.”

He added: “Collectively, Pacific Controls and Qube solutions will allow organisations to manage their ICT infrastructure seamlessly, while reducing cost at every stage of the evaluation, configuration, integration, implementation, support, and upgradation cycle” he added.

“UAE is a leader in adopting innovative technology and processes, and at Qube we are proud to bring our IT as a System to this region.  The partnership with Pacific Controls is ideal as they have enterprise-level expertise and proven track record.  Together we have an amazing opportunity to help companies leverage the data locked within their devices to create real business value,” said Qube founder and CEO Robert Mueller.
