KOA announces second phase of Canvas residential project

KOA has unveiled the second phase of its KOA Canvas residential development. Like the first phase, the second is designed for millennials and is in response to market demand according to a statement from the firm. Phase two will comprise 40 additional units and a boutique hotel.

For this new phase, KOA explains that it will adopt the same contemporary design and aims to attract entrepreneurs, creatives and other young professionals from the region and overseas. The second phase will bring the development’s total offering to 86 units, while the hotel will target both residents and tourists.

“I am proud to have built a strong voice in the market to date and have been thrilled by the response so far. We’re delighted to see the changes that KOA has inspired in the market, with similar concepts starting to be announced across the region. My goal was always to change the way people think about property in this market so it’s incredible to watch this all come to life and announce something new to come,” said Mohammed Zaal, CEO and founder of KOA.

For the second residential building, KOA will once again turn to T.ZED Architects. KOA says that each property will have the ‘distinctive KOA style of minimalistic aesthetics with uncompromising finishes’.

The second residential development will comprise six two-bedroom apartments, 23 one-bedrooms and 11 studios. KOA says it is keen to answer the aspirations and desires of its target demographic and notes that the increase of smaller sized units is in response to customer feedback.

“Similar to all our launches, the boutique hotel and phase two apartments have had a meticulous research and development process to truly showcase the KOA ethos. We will continue to represent the next generation and evolution of residents in this market. Cultural enrichment is a key part of our development, ultimately empowering Dubai’s residents to make their home and their community unique to each individual,” said Zaal.

The boutique hotel will be an 11-room fully serviced lifestyle destination and will include a number of facilities, which are said to be in line with the ‘forward-thinking signature KOA aesthetic’.
