FILA Surface Care Solutions launches FILAMARBLE AID solution in the Middle East
Solution protects environment and people in compliance with VOC regulations
FILA Surface Care Solutions has just launched its FILAMARBLE AID solution in the Middle East. The product is designed to offer acid and stain-resistant protective treatment for marble and natural stone surfaces.
According to the company, its product is an odorless and solvent-free treatment that protects surfaces from damage caused by acids, alkaline cleaners and stains. It is said to create a ‘natural-look polished barrier for stone, marble, limestone and travertine’ that won’t yellow, discolor or create an ‘acrylic look’.
“Due to the inherent qualities of marble, numerous projects make use of it for both indoors and outdoors areas, yet so far there has been no effective protection against acidic substances or stains, which has sometimes had disastrous consequences,” said Fabrizio Nicoli, commercial director of the Middle East branch of FILA. “As surface protection specialists, the FILA R&D team has been working on this protection for a while now and we are very excited that our award-winning treatment is now available in the GCC and South Pacific Asia markets.”
FILA notes that its solution does not alter the stone and therefore leaves its surface intact. The firm claims its solution is a safe, water-based formulation that has low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) content and forms a barrier against stones thanks to its micro-coating technology.
The solution can be applied to new and pre-treated materials, including outdoor surfaces, as it is resistant to UV rays and thermal shocks. The treatment is positioned as an ideal solution for matte or polished bathroom and kitchen surfaces and is certified safe for food preparation areas.
“Kitchen and bathroom worktops are naturally more exposed to acidic substances, which corrode the polished finish, leaving the surface looking dull and deteriorated. FILAMARBLE AID, the acid and stain-resistant protective agent with a polished finish, is the perfect answer to avoid such damage since it can be applied ‘in-line’ as a factory finish, to give protection before fitting,” Nicoli explained.
