Aldar to begin handover of homes at Nareel Island and Al Merief

Developer also provides updates on Mayan, The Bridges, Al Jimi Mall, and more

Word is also underway at Mayan

Aldar Properties has announced that it will begin handing over homes at two of its premium developments in Abu Dhabi in the near term. Nareel Island is located on the coast of Al Bateen and is a high-end development boasting ‘first class amenities and private beaches’, while Al Merief is designed for UAE nationals and is located in Khalifa City.

The announcement follows the ongoing handover of homes in the Ansam and Al Hadeel developments. The former is said to be the first residential project on Yas Island to be handed over to residents. The delivery of homes to customers at Ansam began in December 2017 and is expected to continue throughout the quarter. Handovers of homes at Al Hadeel also commenced in December 2017 according to a statement from the developer.

Aldar also said that construction on its various other residential developments on Yas Island are on track and are at various stages of completion. At West Yas, the developer notes that interior work is progressing and nearing completion in certain areas, with over 300 villas under the final fix and testing stage, in preparation for handover. The developer notes that the school, mosque and retail building have already been handed over.

At Mayan, building activity is underway as shoring, enabling and reinforcement works continue across the project. Speaking about its Yas Acres project, villa and townhouse construction is underway in the three precincts that have been launched, with work on the main utility networks progressing across the entire site.

Additionally, on The Bridges development on Reem Island, main works are on track following the completion of enabling and piling works. In line with the construction programme, Meera continues to make steady headway, with glazing and façade work nearing completion on both buildings.

Work is also continuing on the expansion of Al Jimi Mall, which is due to complete this year. The expansion is set to add 33,000sqm of retail, leisure and F&B space, which will bring the total GLA to 76,000sqm.
