New complex offers a variety of amenities for staff
Ducab has broken ground on its new staff accommodation complex in Jebel Ali, Dubai. According to a statement from the firm, the new complex will offer enhanced facilities for staff from its various business units.
The copper and aluminium wire and cable product supplier says that the new facility comprises two double-storey blocks and states that each room will have its own balcony. The blocks are said to be the first of their kind on the site and the firm notes that there will also be an amenity building, which features a laundry, prayer room, extra storage rooms, as well as a recreational area.
The Ducab Group today comprises several business units: Ducab Wires and Cables; Ducab High Voltage (HV), a joint venture between Ducab, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) and Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority (ADWEA); Ducab Metals, which supplies copper rod and wire to the region; and Ducab Aluminium Company, a joint venture between Ducab and Senaat which manufactures aluminium rod and conductors.
Ducab was founded in 1979 and is a joint venture between the Investment Corporation of Dubai and Senaat (General Holding Corporation, Abu Dhabi).
