$5.7m Zayed One Day Surgery Hospital in Ajman to start in May

Construction work at the Zayed One Day Surgery Hospital in Ajman will commence in May 2018, and the facility will be operational by the end of 2019, the CEO of Al Ihsan Charity Association, (ACA) has said.

Speaking during a press conference at his palace, Dr Sheikh Abdul Aziz Ali Al Nuaimi, a member of the Ajman royal family, said that the hospital will be built on land in the Rashidiya district in downtown Ajman city.

According to a report by WAM, the land was donated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Ali Al Nuaimi, chairman of the ACA.

“The hospital is the maiden project of the ACA’s initiatives for the Year of Zayed 2018 and its operational and furniture cost is estimated at more than $5.7 million,” Dr. Al Nuaimi said, according to the report.

“The hospital will constitute an addition to the ACA’s Medical Services Complex, which has a capacity ranging from 14,000 to 20,000 patients,” he added.

ACA also operates the Al Ihsan Medical Complex, which started in 2003 and provides medical care and treatment for all society segments of the poor, needy, orphans and windows, as well more than 3,000 families.
