Parsons announces Andrew Bevan as smart mobility director

Andrew Bevan has joined Parsons as smart mobility director for the Middle East business unit according to a statement from the firm. In his role, he will be charged with leading Parsons’ smart infrastructure solutions development in the region.

According to Parsons, Bevan has worked on several rail projects throughout the Middle East and has spent several years working for the federal government in Abu Dhabi, developing the systems’ portfolio and the introduction for the national rail infrastructure.

Overall, Bevan has nearly 20 years of experience, specialising in intelligent solutions and systems integration. He has a bachelor’s degree in electronic and electrical engineering (with honors) from the University of Bath, UK. He is a chartered engineer and holds fellowships with two international engineering firms.

“The combination of our technical solutions and our talented people empowers us to bring bold ideas to market. We are excited to have Andrew on board; he will leverage our technology offerings and lead the development of new smart solutions for our customers in MEA,” said Gary Adams, Parsons Group president.

Prior to joining Parsons, Bevan was a subject matter expert with Ericsson in its global centre of excellence and provided consultancy services across the world for clients such as the Istanbul Municipality on integrated mobility and smart cities and network rail in the UK, on the adoption of disruptive technologies and IoT to improve efficiencies in operations and maintenance.
