Al Shirawi Interiors says the fit-out work at Silicon Park, an initiative it describes as the first smart city project in Dubai, is well underway.
According to the firm, fit-out scope includes the project’s business centre, serviced apartments, hotel, fitness centre and public spaces in over 19 buildings spread across its office, residential and boutique building clusters. Al Shirawi Interiors is gearing up for handover in Q4 2018, after signing the contract in November 2017.
The 150,000 sqm mixed-used development was master-planned and architecturally designed by Design & Architecture Bureau (DAR). It complies with the UAE’s green building regulations as well as international LEED standards, says Al Shirawi Interiors.
“Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) has been at the forefront of innovation with its technologically-advanced and integrated ecosystem,” said Navin Valrani, CEO, Al Shirawi Interiors. “Silicon Park is another visionary project by the entity and is poised to be the new gem amongst Dubai’s thriving business-centric communities. We are delighted to be a part of this project.”
Ani Chacko, General Manager, Al Shirawi Interiors, said the project’s strict focus on energy and sustainability presented it with an exciting challenge.
“Our experienced project management team has been integral in ensuring compliance with the highest industry standards. We are positive that with our skilled workforce and quality finishes, we will complete the fit-out work to the set expectations,” added Chacko.
Construction work on Silicon Park is scheduled for completion in Q1 2019. When fully operational, it is expected to feature smart solutions from charging-docks for smart devices on the street to smart pop-up furniture and digital play tables, as well as optimally-designed bus shelters, piazzas shading, and electric vehicles charging stations.
