SNC-Lavalin subsidiary wins five-year deal in Saudi

SNC-Lavalin’s Saudi subsidiary has been awarded a five-year framework agreement to provide in-country general engineering services to Al Khafji Joint Operations (KJO).

As per the terms of the agreement, SNC-Lavalin Kentz Engineering Consultancy will cover on and off-shore engineering projects to support KJO in maximising sustainable production, through the use of modern technology. The move is in line with KJO’s continuous improvement program.

“This contract award continues the strong working relationship between KJO and our team, whereby the group has supported KJO with engineering services on a continuous basis since 2009. Such framework agreements allow us to work closely as a partner to our clients, and provide valuable services over many years,” said Christian Brown, president for oil and gas, SNC-Lavalin.

SNC-Lavalin will provide all of the agreed upon services through its subsidiary’s office at Al Khobar in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The firm will also draw on its global centres of engineering excellence.

Al Khafji Joint Operations is a joint operating company established by Aramco Gulf Operations Company Limited and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company. The firm is responsible for oil and gas exploration, as well as the development and production in the off-shore area close to the Saudi-Kuwait border, including the Khafji and Hout Oil Fields.
