Infrastructure work for Kuwait’s Hessah Al Mubarak District completed

Mixed-use project will see developers start construction work once public facilities handed over to government entities

Kuwait Projects Company (Holding) has announced that infrastructure work for Hessah Al Mubarak District project, the country’s first-ever comprehensive mixed-use district, has been completed.

The entire infrastructure work was completed at the end of 2017 by Al Ahmadiah Contracting and work is now underway to hand over components of public facilities to various government entities, the company said in a statement. Kipco is the master planner of the project, which overlooks the sea and is in close proximity to Kuwait City’s downtown business hub.

The statement added that Al Ahmadiah Contracting completed the project within the scheduled timeframe, and that developers could soon begin building and construction work.

“As the master planner of Hessah Al Mubarak District, Kipco has been keen to work with professional construction contractors to ensure that the future residents and visitors of our district enjoy an unprecedented experience,” said Faisal Al Ayyar, Kipco’s executive vice chairman.

“We would like to express our appreciation to Al Ahmadiah Contracting, whose expertise has helped us complete this phase of the project at the high standards we expect and within the projected timeframe,” remarked Al Ayyar.

He added that once all necessary handovers of public facilities to government entities are completed, developers (including the company’s own real estate arm, United Real Estate) will be able to begin construction work on land plots.

Once complete, Hessah Al Mubarak District will provide future residents, visitors and workers within the area an urban destination that will combine leisure, shopping, offices and living areas, he said.
