Kobelco Construction Machinery has announced new 300t and 350t lattice boom crawler cranes for various global markets.
The Japanese equipment maker said its new releases comprise the CKE3000G for Europe, which has a 300t at 5.5m radius, and the 330 US ton CK3300G-2 for North America. There is also the 300t Standard model for global release, which offers an increased 350t capacity in super heavy lift (SHL) specification.
While the Standard global model has an EU Stage IIIA/US Tier 3 compliant engine, the European model is powered by an EU Stage IV engine and the North American one by a US Tier 4 Final unit.
Kobelco said that compared to its 250t CKE2500G-2 model, the new cranes can lift 40% more weight in standard specification and 60% more in the luffer variant. The models compare favourably to cranes in the 400-500t class when used in the SHL configuration, Kolbelco said. Also, to make it easier to transport the cranes, the width of all components has been kept at less than 3m.
Describing the new models as “All Rounders” – multi-purpose cranes for handling all sorts of applications, loads and job sites – Kobelco said its attachments include three jibs: fixed, heavy fixed and luffing. A super heavy lift configuration is also available for heavier lifts, which also includes a luffing jib.
