Best Western plans nine KSA properties by 2014

The world’s largest hotel chain, Best Western International has officially launched its first property in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

Located on King Abdul-Aziz Road in downtown Riyadh, the 10-storey Best Western Orchid Hotel is the firm’s second property in the Kingdom, after the opening of the Best Western Plus Sand Rose Suites in Al Khobar earlier this year.

The 86-room hotel features food and beverage outlets, a 24-hour business centre, and a range of meeting rooms, among other facilities. The brand is planning to open nine new hotels in seven cities across Saudi Arabia in the next two years, adding 1,589 rooms to the country’s inventory.

“With more than 1,500 comfortable, convenient hotel rooms expected coming on line by 2015, Best Western International will be at the forefront of this exciting country’s travel and tourism boom,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western International’s vice president International Operations – Asia & the Middle East.
