Al Dhaid Shamil Police Station upgrade to complete by Q3 2018

The UAE Ministry of Infrastructure Development has announced that it will complete the construction of its upgrade to the Al Dhaid Shamil Police Station by Q3 2018.

The $31 million project recently reached 70% of the total works required and comprises the replacement of the old building and the construction of a new building according to modern and international specifications, the ministry stated.

“It is characterised by modern architecture, taking into account sustainability standards and reducing energy consumption. The design also features easy movement within the building to reach different sections. In addition, the ministry aims to reduce sources of pollution during the implementation stages and reduce the depletion and waste of natural resources,” added the ministry in statement.

According to Engineer Mariam Abdul Karim, director of the implementation department at the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, the new building will have a total area of 19,752sqm while the total area of the project reaches 114,000,62sqm.
