Al Kifah Readymix launches eco-friendly concrete in KSA
New concrete is more environmentally friendly and durable
Al Kifah Readymix & Blocks has announced the launch of ‘green concrete’ in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A regional first, the concrete is said to set a new benchmark for the construction market and the ready-mix industry specifically.
The new product is produced using natural pozzolan material manaseer crete and offers several benefits including environmental friendliness, durability and sustainability. The green concrete also helps to reduce manufactured mineral material requirements to a minimum, which results in a lower carbon footprint and fewer trucks on the road.
A live batch plant trial was held at Al Kifah Readymix & Blocks’ main factory in the Al Ahsa region of Saudi Arabia. The event was attended by senior officials from the firm, as well as partners and consultants from the industry.
Al Kifah Readymix & Blocks is a major supplier of well concrete and interlock, and is part of the larger Al Kifah group. The company today maintains 27 distribution outlets across the Kingdom, in cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, and Madinah besides AlAhsa, Dammam and the Jubail areas.
