Dubai’s One Palm development tops out ahead of schedule
Developer Omniyat says the project will be completed in 2018
Omniyat, the Dubai-based developer, has announced that the build on its luxury One Palm development has topped out ahead of schedule, making it the tallest private residence on Palm Jumeriah.
Situated on the eastern tip of the Palm Jumeirah’s trunk, the One Palm is a 91,000sqft design-led project that will include three-, four- and five-bedroom residences and three triplex penthouses. The building’s distinctive architecture includes double and triple height spaces and dramatic cantilevers, the developer said. In addition, the building will have outdoor living spaces and sanctuaries, while a private jetty will allow residents to dock their yachts.
The topping out news also revealed that the build had to be adjusted at a late stage to include a buyer’s request, with a 20-metre swimming pool included on the roof of a penthouse apartment. The topping out process continued as the request was accommodated, the developer added.
“The topping out of One Palm ahead of schedule is testament to our team and partners who have worked tirelessly to bring this incredible building to life. From this point on we now look forward handing over the keys to our first customers and the official opening,” said Mahdi Amjad, founder and CEO of Omniyat.
“In order to realise the world’s most luxurious residential building, we have chosen only the finest talent in the disciplines of landscaping, architecture, construction, interior design and amenities to ensure that every last detail is exactly what the most discerning buyers would expect from a development such as this.”
Amjad said that Omniyat has worked with the best designers in the world to deliver the One Palm, which is due for completion in 2018. He revealed that each residence will be a statement of personal taste, with owners able to choose their interiors and finishes to match their individual styles.
Buyers will be able to pick from interiors designed by either Super Potato, a Japanese firm known for its chic and modern fit-outs, or from the opulent, rich textures of Elicyon, the London-based luxury design studio, which has worked on the One Hyde Park building.
One Palm will be equipped with a range of amenities and facilities to cater to its residents. The One Palm Clubhouse will include a fine-dining restaurant, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, indoor cinema, outdoor cinema and BBQ area, residents lounge, children’s pool and playroom and a luxury spa, the developer added.
