Dubai developer Nakheel opens new Jebel Ali club
New Jebel Ali Club is split into two distinct sections
Property developer Nakheel has opened the new Jebel Ali Club, which the firm says is an “entertainment destination that combines family-friendly dining with the original club’s charm.” The new club is part of a 500,000 sq ft dinning destination at Nakheel’s Jebel Ali Village community.
The new club is split into two sections, one that connects with the now 40-year-old original through the use of some of its furniture, fixtures and fitting, and the second, an all-new section offering family-friendly dining and entertainment options. Together, the two sections span 13,000 sq ft and can accommodate 350 diners.
Thorsten Ries, managing director, Nakheel Hospitality said, “Jebel Ali Recreation Club is a Dubai institution and a second home to many people, some of whom have been regular guests since it opened in 1977. We were determined to retain its original look and feel while at the same time broadening its appeal to a wider audience. As a result, Jebel Ali Club now boasts the best of both worlds: a brand new family destination with a separate section that’s a mirror image of the original.”
Nakheel’s Jebel Ali Village community will soon also play host to a four-screen dine-in movie complex from Reel Cinemas, as well as a variety of dining options. All of the restaurants will have indoor and outdoor dining space, with a 55,000 sq ft landscaped terrace with water features.
The Jebel Ali Village complex can, in total accommodate 1,500 diners and has onsite parking.
