Emaar launches new mall in Dubai Hills Estate
Dubai Hills Mall to offer over 2m sq ft of leasable area
Emaar Properties has announced the launch of a new mall development, the Dubai Hills Mall, which it calls a family retail district located in the heart of its Dubai Hills Estate development near the city’s Al Maktoum International Airport.
Scheduled to open in late 2019, the mall will have a gross leasable area (GLA) of over 2 million sq ft and will house more than 750 outlets, said a statement from the Dubai-based developer, which billed the mall as a regional retail and leisure destination set in the 11 million sq m Dubai Hills Estate master-planned community. Dubai Hills Estate is a joint venture between Emaar with Meraas, and features several residential communities of golf-course villas, townhouses and apartments.
The new mall will feature four major family entertainment and leisure centres, including a 20-screen cineplex, a 65,000 sqft hypermarket, seven anchor retail stores and parking for over 7,000 vehicles, said Emaar. It will have access from Sheikh Zayed Road, Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Umm Suqeim Road and Al Khail Road, as well as having a dedicated link to the Dubai Metro and other public transport. Other facilities will include F&B outlets and an outdoor concert area.
